Field Work

During multiple field trips as part of my graduate/postgraduate studies, I've had the opportunity to visit and do research on early life sites in the Pilbara of Western Australia, including the well-preserved stromatolitic outcrops of the Turee Creek Group and Duck Creek Dolomite, as well as the Tumbiana Formation, Strelley Pool Formation and the Schopf, Trendall and Buick Localities. In New Zealand, I've hiked in to the Cretaceous-Paleogene "K-T" boundary in Mead Stream on the South Island, and visited a number of active hot spring sites in Rotorua on the North Island. I've also visited fossiliferous outcrops in South Africa and Japan.

I would like to acknowledge the Dharug & Gundungurra peoples, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which I grew up and call home.
I recognise their continued connection to Country and I pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging.
